Canada Recalls Kitchen Ranges Over Gas Leak Risk
A recall has been issued in Canada for certain kitchen ranges due to a possible gas leak risk. The affected appliances are dual fuel range cooking units sold by AGA and La Cornue, manufactured between March 19, 2025 and July 24, 2026.
The issue lies in the missing gas manifold testing component, which is not required for normal operation but essential during installation pressure testing. Without it, gas can leak from the test port when connected to a gas supply, posing a fire hazard.
Health Canada has issued an alert about the recall and advises consumers to shut off the gas supply immediately if they own one of the affected products. They should contact AGA Rangemaster Limited for a free inspection and repair as required.
