Canada Wheat and Barley Exports Surge at Start of MY 2026/27 Season

Canada's wheat and barley exports have seen significant growth since the start of the MY 2026/27 season. In the week ended August 23, Canada exported 511.5 thousand tons of wheat through licensed elevators, a 18.4% increase from the previous week.

Since the beginning of the season, Canadian wheat exports have reached 1.556 million tons, up 50.1% from the same period last year. At this point in time last year, Canada had exported 1.037 million tons of wheat.

Producer deliveries of wheat have more than doubled since the start of the 2026/27 season, with 1.105 million tons delivered to licensed elevators compared to 537.7 thousand tons during the same period of the previous season.
