Canada's Grain Deliveries Surge in Week 7 of 2026-2027 Crop Year
According to the Canadian Grain Commission's latest report, producer deliveries of grain to licensed handling facilities in Canada rose significantly in Week 7 of the 2026-2027 crop year. The commission reported that between September 14 and September 20, 2026, 1,515.5 thousand tonnes were delivered, a substantial increase from the previous week's 1,159.2 thousand tonnes.
Wheat was the leading grain in terms of deliveries during this period, accounting for 573.3 thousand tonnes, followed by canola at 531.8 thousand tonnes and barley at 176.7 thousand tonnes. Cumulatively, wheat deliveries reached 3,270.7 thousand tonnes, while canola deliveries totaled 2,333.4 thousand tonnes.
Terminal receipts for the week stood at 1,096.8 thousand tonnes, with Vancouver handling 604.9 thousand tonnes and Thunder Bay 186.6 thousand tonnes. Crop-year-to-date terminal receipts reached 7,508.2 thousand tonnes, surpassing last year's figure of 5,837.4 thousand tonnes.
