The Canadian Grain Commission released its weekly report for the period ending October 11, 2026, providing a detailed snapshot of grain handling activities across the country. The report highlights commercial stocks, producer deliveries, terminal receipts, exports, and domestic disappearance for various grains, including wheat, durum, oats, barley, flaxseed, canola, peas, and corn.
Commercial stocks saw a slight decrease in most grains compared to the previous week, with wheat dropping from 3166.2 to 3029.9 and durum from 660.8 to 609.8. However, canola stocks increased significantly from 1204.5 to 1391.0. Compared to the same period last year, total commercial stocks rose from 7334.6 to 7458.5.
Producer deliveries also varied, with wheat deliveries decreasing from 629.0 to 507.4 and durum from 117.7 to 114.1. In contrast, canola deliveries fell from 765.2 to 620.1. Year-to-date deliveries showed a mixed trend, with some grains like wheat and durum seeing lower figures compared to the previous year.
Terminal receipts and exports followed similar patterns, with fluctuations in individual grain categories. Exports of wheat increased from 419.1 to 618.8, while durum exports rose from 60.7 to 94.5. Domestic disappearance, which includes grain used within Canada, saw a decrease in most categories compared to the previous week.
