CanCambria Energy Sees Hungarian Gas Project Value Surge 16% to $2.04 Billion
CanCambria Energy Corp., a Canadian energy company, has reported a significant increase in the net present value of its Kiskunhalas deep gas project in Hungary. The project's valuation has risen by 16% to $2.04 billion due to higher long-term European natural gas prices.
The higher price assumption is now at $12.00 per million British thermal units (MMBtu), which reflects Europe's tightening gas supply and geopolitical risks. This makes the project strategically important for Hungary's domestic energy security.
CanCambria plans to advance development while unlocking value for stakeholders amid a strong pricing environment. The project holds 571.9 billion cubic feet of gas and 59.6 million barrels of condensate, with first production expected in mid-2027.
