Capstone Energy+ Powers Up Remote LNG Facility in Argentina
Capstone Energy+, Inc., a leading provider of energy certainty through its behind-the-meter clean gas turbine energy solutions, has announced it has received a 2.6 MW order and shipped two C1000S gas turbines and one C600S turbine to supply electricity to a remote natural gas compression plant in Argentina.
The systems are expected to provide prime power for a new natural gas compression facility in Río Negro Province that is expected to supply natural gas to a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility. Located in a remote area with no existing utility power lines to the site, the facility requires reliable on-site power to support critical compression operations.
Capstone's pipeline natural gas-powered turbines were selected for their proven reliability and low-maintenance design. The systems are expected to be commissioned in August 2027.
