Cardinal Energy Sees Significant Growth in Production Volumes and Financial Performance
Cardinal Energy Ltd., an oil and natural gas company listed on the TSX as CJ, has announced its operating and financial results for the second quarter of 2026. The Calgary-based firm reported a significant increase in production volumes compared to the same period in 2025.
The company's average daily production reached 25,636 boe/d, an increase of 21% from the previous year. This growth was mainly due to the addition of crude oil production from the Reford 1 steam-assisted gravity drainage project.
Cardinal Energy's financial performance also showed a substantial improvement, with adjusted funds flow reaching $123.4 million in the second quarter of 2026, a 150% increase compared to the same period in 2025.
