Cattle Futures Analysis Highlights Key Fibonacci Retracement Levels
The recent analysis of cattle futures highlights the significance of the 38.2% and 78.6% Fibonacci retracement levels. These levels are crucial for determining the continuation or reversal of market trends. During the bull run, the market held the 38.2% retracement on key dates such as March 9, May 22, and June 4, 2026. However, the end of the bull market was signaled by the failure to make a new high in the area of the 78.6% retracement on June 22, 2026.
The market held the 240.80 major Gann square and swing point for the week. It hit the short-term target area of 78.6% at 247.65 and the 248.40 major Gann square. Although there were minor closes above it, the failure to make a new high and the subsequent close below 78.6% at 247.65 indicated a potential end to the rally. According to the ONE44 78.6% rule, this failure can signify the end of the rally for the time being.
Looking ahead, if the market closes above 247.65, the next resistance levels to watch are the major Gann squares at 257.07 and 265.40. Conversely, if the market closes below 247.65, the short-term target is 78.6% at 237.50, and the long-term target is 38.2% at 231.25. The analysis also notes that after the break, two attempts to rally stopped at the 38.2% retracement, keeping the trend negative on August 6 and September 14, 2026.
The analysis extends to other commodities such as soybeans, meal & oil, corn, wheat, live cattle, feeder cattle, and lean hogs. Subscribers receive these levels well in advance and guidance on what to expect from them. The goal is to provide actionable information based on pure price analysis with Fibonacci retracements and Gann squares, which are believed to be the underlying structure of all markets.
