CBOT Soybeans, Corn Prices Fall Amid Harvest Pressure
Soybean futures at the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) were down on Friday due to seasonal harvest pressure, which is weighing on values.
The CBOT reported that U.S. processors crushed 209.6 million bushels of soybeans in August, a decrease of 5.5% from July but an increase of 5.9% from the same month last year.
Corn futures also ended lower for the week, settling below the psychological level of $5.00 per bushel in the December contract due to large carryout supplies and the looming harvest.
