Soybean futures at the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) declined on Monday as traders adjusted their positions ahead of Wednesday's monthly supply/demand estimates from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).

The market is anticipating a small downward revision to soybean production for the 2026-27 crop, with average pre-report trade guesses calling for a decrease from the July forecast of 4.475 billion bushels.

Tightening soybean ending stocks for both the 2025-26 and 2026-27 crops are also expected.

Corn futures held relatively stable, but with a bias towards lower prices due to direction from soybeans and wheat.
