CBOT Wheat Futures Prices Plummet Across All Contract Dates

The prices of wheat futures on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) took a hit on Tuesday, September 22. The prices for SRW (Soft Red Winter) wheat contracts declined across the board, with the December contract leading the way. As of 4:30 PM ET, the December contract was trading at $727.25 per bushel, down from Monday's close of $737.75.

The March contract also saw significant losses, falling to $743.25 per bushel. The May contract declined to $755.10, while the July and September contracts lost 7.76% and 6.25%, respectively. The December contract had the largest percentage decline at 5.01%. The open interest in wheat futures decreased by 3,556 contracts.

The CBOT is one of the most prominent exchanges for agricultural commodities, including wheat. The exchange's data provides valuable insights into market trends and fluctuations.
