Ceasefire Could Bring Down Global Grain Prices, Experts Predict
A ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine could lead to a decline in global grain prices. According to Mario Nawfal, founder & CEO of IBC Group, around 80% of Russia's grain terminal capacity in the Black Sea and Sea of Azov could quickly resume operations if both sides agree to halt attacks on each other's ports and ships.
Nawfal notes that a ceasefire would likely lower grain prices worldwide, including in countries such as Egypt and Indonesia. He has previously reported on energy market disruptions and rapid market movements, including a $3,000 plunge in Bitcoin's price due to the liquidation of leveraged longs.
