CENTCOM Destroys Five Iranian Tankers Amid Escalating Tensions
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has destroyed five Iranian crude oil carriers in response to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps targeting a US Navy warship with ballistic missiles over the past two days.
No Americans were harmed in the attacks, according to CENTCOM. This move comes as part of Washington's new policy of attacking Iranian tankers in retaliation for fires that threaten its warships.
So far, CENTCOM has hit 10 Iranian tankers over the past week, following a new policy announced by Washington. Iran has fired on two US ships and eight tankers in response, according to reports.
