Centrica Secures Long-Term LNG Deal with Ksi Lisims

Ksi Lisims LNG LP has secured a long-term supply deal with Centrica Energy for its proposed liquefied natural gas export facility in British Columbia. The agreement will see Centrica purchasing one million tonnes of LNG per year for 20 years, starting from an unspecified date.

Under the terms of the contract, Ksi Lisims LNG has signed agreements covering nine million tonnes per year of its planned capacity. This is significant progress for the project, which aims to export 12 million tonnes of LNG annually.

The lead developer and future operator of Ksi Lisims LNG is Houston-based Western LNG, in partnership with Rockies LNG, a consortium of Canadian natural gas producers, and the Nisga'a Nation. The company expects its first shipments to begin in the early 2030s, pending a final investment decision.
