Certified Sustainable Palm Oil Surpasses 20% Market Share
The global market for Certified Sustainable Palm Oil (CSPO) has reached new heights, accounting for 20% of the world's palm oil supply. According to the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) Impact Report 2026, CSPO sales totaled 16.2 million tons in 2025.
This represents a significant milestone for producers within the RSPO, who currently have the capacity to produce 31.4 million tons of certified palm oil, approximately 39% of global production. This means that the share of CSPO could potentially reach close to 40% of the global supply in the future.
The certification is particularly active in Latin America, where RSPO members account for almost 75% of regional palm oil production, and the share of certified production in 2024 was 29.3%. In Africa, CSPO supply increased by 46.23%, and in Malaysia by 9.07%.
The RSPO also continues to expand its presence in key consumer markets, with 6,280 members in 103 countries and territories. The organization has seen recent growth in membership from China, Indonesia, and Japan.
