CFTC Publishes Weekly Commitments of Traders Report for September 29

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) published its weekly Commitments of Traders disaggregated futures-only report for the period ending September 29, 2026.

The report provides data on open interest and positioning across various agricultural, energy, and metals contracts.

According to the data, Chicago Board of Trade soft red winter wheat had an open interest of 483,142 contracts. Producer and merchant long positions were 67,686 against short positions of 124,881.

In contrast, hard red winter wheat at the Chicago Board of Trade recorded an open interest of 306,523 contracts. Managed money was 71,011 long and 40,334 short, while swap dealers held 81,210 long and 2,608 short.
