Challenger Unveils Growth Plan for Hualilán and El Guayabo Assets

Challenger (CEL) presented its growth plan at the JMM Gold Forum 2026, focusing on its Hualilán gold project in Argentina and El Guayabo gold-copper asset in Ecuador.

The company's shares were trading at $1.68 on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, down 0.88% from the previous close of $1.695.

Management highlighted strong project economics for Hualilán, including a net present value of $1.1 billion at a $3,500 gold price and about 35% internal rate of return.

The company has enough cash and debenture funding to operate through mid-2027 while it advances project financing.
