Chengtun Mining's H1 Revenue Surges 39.56%, Net Profit Soars 71.37%
Chengtun Mining (600711.SS) recently released its half-year report for 2026, showcasing impressive revenue and net profit growth. The company's revenue reached 19.26 billion yuan ($2.8 billion), a 39.56% year-on-year increase. Net profit attributable to shareholders surged 71.37% to 1.8 billion yuan ($266.6 million).
The strong performance was driven by higher copper prices and increased production and sales volumes. The company's copper-cobalt operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo produced 132,200 metric tons of copper, with flagship mine BMS contributing 74,400 metric tons. Youshan Nickel in Indonesia demonstrated operational resilience amid price volatility, generating 1.66 billion yuan in revenue.
The energy metals segment achieved a gross margin of 27.03%, while the base metals segment's gross margin improved by 5.61 percentage points to 9.50%. The company plans a dividend of 0.05 yuan per share and has expanded its total assets to 50.58 billion yuan ($7.5 billion). Chengtun Mining will continue to focus on cost control, quality improvement, and efficiency enhancement in the second half of the year.
