Chennai Gold and Silver Prices Hold Steady on August 7

Chennai's gold and silver prices remained unchanged on August 7. The price of 22-carat gold was steady at Rs 1,10,000 per sovereign and Rs 13,750 per gram.

The increase in the price of gold has been a notable trend over the past year, with prices rising by 46.27% since last August 7, when it stood at Rs 75,200 per sovereign or Rs 9,400 per gram.

The silver market also remained stable, with prices holding steady at Rs 250 per gram (Rs 2,50,000 per kg) on August 7.

A comparison of gold prices over the last five days shows a slight fluctuation. The price of gold has been as follows: August 6, 2026 - Rs 1,10,000; August 5, 2026 - Rs 1,06,880; August 4, 2026 - Rs 1,05,600; August 3, 2026 - Rs 1,06,000; and August 1, 2026 - Rs 1,05,760.
