A comparison between the current prices and last year's shows that gold prices have surged from Rs 75,760 per sovereign (Rs 9,470 per gram) on August 8, 2025, to Rs 1,11,720 per sovereign (Rs 13,965 per gram) on August 8, 2026, marking an increase of Rs 35,960 or about 47.46%.
