Chennai Gold Prices Plummet ₹155 Per Gram on July 28

Gold prices in Chennai declined on July 28, 2026, according to the Madras Jewellers & Diamond Traders Association (MJDTA). The price of 22-carat gold fell by ₹155 per gram to ₹13,215 per gram, down from ₹13,370 per gram the previous day. This decline follows a ₹70 increase in gold prices on July 27.

18-carat gold also declined by ₹155 to ₹11,030 per gram, compared to ₹11,185 per gram on July 27. Meanwhile, silver prices fell by ₹5 to ₹235 per gram, down from ₹240 per gram the previous day.
