Chennai Gold Prices Rise on July 27 Amid Fluctuating Markets

Chennai's gold prices have experienced a slight increase on July 27, 2026. According to the latest rates from the Madras Jewellers & Diamond Traders Association (MJDTA), the price of 22-carat gold has risen by ₹70 to ₹13,370 per gram.

Meanwhile, 18-carat gold increased by ₹70 to ₹11,185 per gram. Silver prices remained unchanged at ₹240 per gram.

The fluctuation in gold prices is attributed to various factors, including global gold prices, US dollar movements, inflation expectations, central bank interest rate decisions, geopolitical developments, and investor demand for safe-haven assets.
