Chennai Silver Prices Plummet 4% on September 11

Silver prices in Chennai plummeted on September 11, 2026, dropping to ₹245 per gram and ₹2,45,000 per kilogram. This sharp decline is a significant drop from the previous session's price of ₹255 per gram. On a larger scale, silver became cheaper by ₹10,000 per kilogram.

The prices for smaller quantities also saw a decrease. 10 grams of silver cost ₹2,450, down ₹100 from the previous rate of ₹2,550. Meanwhile, 8 grams of silver dropped to ₹1,960, losing ₹80 compared to the previous day's price of ₹2,040.

Across major cities in India, including Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, the prices for 10 grams, 100 grams, and 1 kilogram of silver remained identical at ₹2,450, ₹24,500, and ₹2,45,000 respectively.
