Chevron Stock Rises Amid Boost in Free Cash Flow
Chevron's stock price surged on Monday after the company provided investors with positive news about its free cash flow.
The oil giant announced that its production forecast for this year has been raised to between 4 million and 4.1 million barrels per day due to increased global demand amid Middle Eastern turmoil.
Chevron also stated that its capital spending will be lower than initially anticipated, at around $18 billion rather than the previously expected $19 billion.
This combination of higher production and reduced expenses is expected to result in a significant increase in free cash flow, with Chevron anticipating growth of up to 75% year over year.
