Chicago Board of Trade Reports Substantial Price Fluctuations in Agricultural Commodities
The Chicago Board of Trade reported on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, that Corn Futures for December and March were both up by 7 cents at $5.45 and $5.59 respectively. Soybean Futures saw an increase in November and January, with prices rising to $13.18 and $13.33.
In the Wheat Futures market, December was up 7 cents at $7.81 and March was up 8 cents at $7.96. The Live Cattle Futures market reported a decline, with October down 27 cents at $212.40 and December down 87 cents at $213.70. Feeder Cattle Futures also saw a decrease in September at $320.80 and October at $316.05.
The Agris at Thamesville reported increases in crop prices for Corn, Soybeans, and Wheat. For the 2026 Crop, Corn was up 8 cents at $6.91 per bushel, while Soybeans were up 29 cents at $17.27 per bushel. The 2027 Crop saw smaller increases, with Corn up 6 cents at $6.46 per bushel and Soybeans up 11 cents at $16.10 per bushel.
