Chicago Board of Trade Sees Changes in Commodity Prices on August 17
The Chicago Board of Trade saw changes in prices for various commodities on Monday, August 17, 2026. Corn futures experienced an increase of 5 cents to $4.64 for September and $4.89 for December. Soybean futures rose by 22 cents to $12.00 for September and $12.16 for November.
Wheat futures remained steady at $6.74 for September, but declined by a quarter to $6.89 for December. Live cattle futures dropped 22 cents to $218.65 for October and $218.25 for December, while feeder cattle futures fell by 167 cents to $332.87 for September and 15 cents to $325.27 for October.
Information from The Andersons at Hensall and Snobelen Farms showed that the prices of 2026 crop corn were up 6 cents to $6.30 per bushel, while the price for 2027 crop corn was up 3 cents to $6.12 per bushel.
The price of 2026 crop soybeans increased by 23 cents to $15.81 per bushel, and the price of 2027 crop soybeans rose by 13 cents to $15.05 per bushel. The prices for soft white winter wheat remained steady at $7.98 per bushel in 2026 and $8.41 per bushel in 2027.
The Ontario Pork Reports stated that the U-S CME price dropped by $0.26 from the previous day to $95.54 per hundredweight, dressed weight, and the 100% formula price fell by $1.75 to $240.06 per hundred kilograms, dressed weight.
