Chile Eyes E10 Gasoline Shift Amid High Oil Prices
Chile's Energy Ministry has proposed a shift to E10 gasoline, which would require adapting infrastructure and increase demand for corn as a feedstock for bioethanol production.
The move aims to reduce national fuel supply costs by around $107 million annually amid high crude oil prices and rising import costs.
State-owned oil company ENAP would need to invest about $10.8 million in adapting refining, terminal, and storage infrastructure.
