China's Economy Continues to Drive Global Growth Amid Turbulence
China's economy has continued to advance despite global economic turbulence, providing stability and momentum to the world.
The country remains a major engine of global growth, contributing around 30 percent to worldwide development and prosperity. In the first half of this year, China's economy grew by 4.7 percent, meeting its annual growth target.
Domestic demand drove economic growth, with consumption accounting for nearly 50 percent of the total. China's solid fundamentals, multiple strengths, and strong resilience have enabled it to maintain long-term growth.
The country is also an important anchor for global industrial and supply chains, helping keep the world economy running smoothly. Since late February, disruptions to shipping through the Strait of Hormuz had strained supplies of crude oil and other key raw materials.
