A Chinese oil tanker encountered a warning from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy while navigating the southern corridor of the Strait of Hormuz, according to local Iranian media.

The IRGC had previously targeted Emirati tankers exhibiting similar behavior but chose to issue a warning in this case. The tanker announced that all crew members were Chinese before turning back from the southern corridor route after receiving Iran's directive.

This incident comes just after Donald Trump stated last night that 'the strait is under US control.' The tanker had been navigating through the strait, but following Iran's warning, it moved away from the Strait of Hormuz.
