Citi Sees Silver Prices Soar Past $65, Predicts $90 Target Within Six Months
Citi has reaffirmed its strong bullish stance on silver, predicting that once investment buying takes over as the primary driver, silver prices could climb to $75 per ounce within three months and potentially challenge $90 over the next six to twelve months.
This represents nearly 38% upside from the current spot price of around $65. According to Citi's analysis, the factors that previously weighed on precious metals, a stronger dollar and rising real interest rates, are likely to gradually fade as tensions in the Strait of Hormuz cool and the Federal Reserve's policy stance becomes more accommodative.
The bank emphasized that silver typically moves in tandem with gold but exhibits greater price elasticity, making it an ideal vehicle for betting on a precious metals rally. Citi estimates that BC technology could become one of the mainstream technologies in the solar market as early as 2028, fundamentally reshaping silver's industrial demand structure.
