CME Group has unveiled a series of new product initiatives that demonstrate its push beyond traditional futures into AI infrastructure pricing, sports performance indexes, and retail-friendly metals and equity products.

The company's recent launches include index-based Hockey futures using NHL statistics, Compute futures tied to GPU rental costs with Silicon Data, expanded 24/7 trading for 100-Ounce Silver futures, and new E-nano equity index contracts for finer-grain exposure.

These moves are part of CME Group's effort to deepen its toolkit for clients exposed to AI infrastructure costs and keep its product set relevant to how investors and corporates manage risk today. However, prolonged periods of muted market volatility could still reduce demand for hedging products.
