CME Markets Close with Most Futures Contracts Down
The Chicago Board of Trade (CME) closed its markets on Friday, September 18, 2026. Corn futures saw a decline in prices for both December and March contracts, with December down 3 at $5.27 per bushel and March down 3 at $5.41.
Soybean futures also experienced a drop in value, with November down 16 at $13.03 per bushel and January down 17 at $13.19. Wheat futures followed suit, with December down 13 at $7.13 per bushel and March down 13 at $7.29.
In contrast, live cattle futures saw an increase in price, with October up 20 at $215.85 per hundredweight and December up 32 at $216.57. Feeder cattle futures, however, declined, with October down 57 at $323.80 and November down 37 at $318.27.
The prices for corn and soybeans from The Andersons at Blacks Lane and Snobelen Farms were also reported, showing a decline in value for both crops in the current and upcoming years. Ontario Pork Reports provided the U-S CME price per hundredweight, which stood at $84.44, down $1.16 from the previous day.
