CME Silver Futures to Trade 24/7 Starting September
The CME Group will introduce round-the-clock trading for its 100-ounce Silver futures contract in September.
This move follows strong demand for continuous gold futures trading, which began on July 24 with a significant increase in weekend sessions.
Since the launch of 24/7 trading for 1-Ounce Gold futures contracts, more than 53,000 contracts have been traded during expanded weekend sessions, representing approximately $219 million in notional value.
The company stated that this represents the largest liquidity pool for weekend gold futures trading and is a testament to growing retail demand for its precious metals products.
