Comex Gold Contracts Plunge to Two-Year Low
The Comex Exchange has reported that the number of new gold contracts opening for immediate delivery has reached its lowest level in two years. Since January 2025, the gold market has seen elevated delivery volumes far surpassing those seen in previous years.
Meanwhile, silver price spreads have inverted once again, albeit only briefly so far. Despite this, silver delivery volumes have not dropped as sharply as gold's, with net new contracts remaining relatively stable compared to last year.
The CME Comex Exchange is the platform where futures are traded for commodities like gold and silver. It also allows buyers to convert their contracts into physical metal through delivery.
