The price of gold on Comex was down 0.17% due to stronger-than-expected US jobs data, with futures holding at $44,769 per ounce.

However, MCX gold futures jumped 0.78% to Rs 1,54,090 per 10 grams in the domestic market, driven by higher demand for gold and silver.

The upcoming US Producer Price Index and Consumer Price Index data releases this week will be closely watched for their impact on inflation expectations.

Inflation concerns are a key trigger for the market, with the Federal Reserve's policy meeting later this month expected to provide further clarity on interest rate decisions.
