Commodities See Mixed Results as Corn and Soybean Futures Fall
Closing markets for Wednesday, September 30, show mixed results across various commodities. Corn futures saw significant declines, with December down 20 at 5.01 and March down 20 at 5.16. Soybean futures also fell, with November down 3 at 12.94 and January down 2 at 13.10.
In contrast, Live Cattle Futures showed gains, with October up 170 at 218.92 and December up 207 at 222.87. Feeder Cattle Futures also rose, with October up 282 at 336.47 and November up 345 at 334.35.
Reports from The Andersons at Kent Bridge and Underwood Grain showed slight variations in crop prices for corn and soybeans. Ontario Pork Reports revealed an increase in the U-S CME price to $80.99 per hundredweight, dressed weight, and a 100% formula price of $207.88 per hundred kilograms, dressed weight.
