ConocoPhillips Alaska Hits Milestone with Coyote 3SX First Oil
ConocoPhillips Alaska has achieved a major milestone in the Coyote 3SX project, delivering first oil ahead of schedule and under budget. The development, valued at approximately $800 million, received initial funding approval in October 2025 and began construction early this year.
The Coyote 3SX project leverages existing infrastructure on Alaska's North Slope to efficiently bring new supply online while minimizing operational overheads. According to Erec Isaacson, president of ConocoPhillips Alaska, 'Coyote 3SX demonstrates our commitment to maximising the value of our legacy assets while continuing to deliver safe, reliable domestic production.'
The project is expected to reach a gross peak oil production rate of 12,000 barrels per day as production ramps up throughout the remainder of 2026 and beyond. The additional pipeline required for the project will support increased production from Coyote as volumes rise in 2026 and beyond.
