ContiTech Unveils API 17K-Certified Hoses for LNG Gas Transfer

ContiTech is showcasing its API 17K-certified flexible hose solutions at Gastech 2026, a global natural gas and LNG event in Bangkok. The technology aims to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency in offshore LNG gas transfer.

The hoses are designed for demanding offshore environments and can withstand repeated operational movement while maintaining pressure integrity and resisting fatigue. Their flexibility allows them to accommodate the relative movement between an FSRU (Floating Storage and Regasification Unit) and jetty, reducing mechanical stress on connected infrastructure.

Scott Weston, Head of Energy Fluids at ContiTech IAPAC, highlighted the importance of Gastech as a platform for industry leaders and decision-makers. He noted that the event provides an opportunity to discuss evolving challenges across the gas and LNG industry and demonstrate technologies intended to improve safety, reliability, and operational performance.
