Copper Futures Prices Continue Upward Trend Through October
The price of Copper futures (COMX) has been steadily increasing over the past few months. As of Tuesday, September 22 at 4:30 PM, a contract for 25,000 lbs of copper was priced at $106.83 per lb. This is an increase of $0.073 from Monday's closing price.
Looking ahead to future contracts, prices continue to rise. For October, the price is projected to be around $106.76 per lb, a 5-cent increase from September. By November and December, prices are expected to reach $107.00 and $107.04 per lb respectively.
The Open Interest for Copper futures has decreased by 1,366 contracts since Monday. This indicates that some traders may be exiting their positions or adjusting their bets on the market.
