Copper Hikes Record High, Hindustan Copper Shares Surge
Hindustan Copper shares surged nearly 5% on Tuesday after copper prices hit a record high amid tight supplies and expectations of US tariffs on refined metal imports.
Copper extended gains for a fourth straight session on the London Metal Exchange, touching a record $14,617 a tonne. Three-month copper futures were up 0.5% at $14,581 a tonne as of 11:08 am in Singapore.
Kotak Neo said supply constraints and tariff-driven inventory dislocations continued to tighten the market, with structural support from ageing mine supply and rising demand from grids, data centres, and electrification.
