Copper Prices Slide 1.47% Amid US Tariff Concerns, Supply Disruptions
Copper prices have dropped by 1.47% to $6.615 in a session marked by moderate volatility, according to Traders Union.
The decline is attributed to concerns over new US import tariffs, which have driven traders to move copper metal to US exchanges, leading to a visible drop in global inventories.
Supply disruptions at mines and smelters in Indonesia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Chile have also tightened the global copper market, putting additional pressure on supply.
Copper trades below its near-term moving averages but remains above key medium- and long-term averages, indicating a bullish structure with a potential range between $6.4699 to $6.764.
