Copper prices fell on Wednesday, declining by 0.85% as the industrial metal faced selling pressure during trading.

The metal was trading at $6.2735 per pound, down from $6.27 earlier in the session.

This decline came despite stronger long-term performance, with copper up 10.33% over the past month and 35.89% compared to the same period last year.

Copper has maintained positive momentum over longer periods, but recent weakness after earlier gains has put pressure on prices.
