Oil Prices Surge Over 7% Amid Market Concerns
Crude oil prices surged on Wednesday, rising over 7% as traders reacted to fresh market concerns and stronger buying activity.
The commodity was trading at $84.907 per barrel, gaining $5.647 during the session.
Despite a weekly decline of 2.26%, crude oil has recorded strong gains over longer periods, with prices up 22.12% over the past month and 21.25% so far this year.
The recent rise comes after a period of increased volatility in energy markets, where traders have been closely watching production levels, geopolitical risks, and global economic conditions.
