Copper Prices Soar as US-China Stockpiles Drive Market Demand
Copper prices are on the rise and could reach $22,050 per ton by mid-2027, according to Deutsche Bank.
This represents an almost 50% increase from current price levels.
The forecast is based on stockpiling activities by the U.S. and China, which together may hold 71% of global copper supply by the end of this year.
China has been building its strategic copper reserve for decades, while the threat of U.S. tariffs on copper imports is driving supplies into American warehouses.
