Copper Prices Stabilize Amid Ongoing Supply Disruptions
Copper prices have remained relatively stable despite ongoing supply disruptions, according to the Traders Union. The current price of $6.6463 reflects mixed momentum signals relative to its moving average profile.
The main contributor to this stability is the offsetting effect of supply constraints on market dynamics. Copper supply faces disruption due to the suspension of Codelco's El Teniente mine in Chile and the Democratic Republic of Congo's export ban on copper and cobalt concentrate.
However, large copper flows into US warehouses ahead of a potential US import tariff decision have lowered stocks in other regions. This has contributed to the ongoing tightness in global copper supply.
