Copper Prices to Soar 50% as Supply Dries Up
Copper prices are predicted to surge another 50% by the second quarter of 2027, according to Deutsche Bank analyst Daniel Ghali. This increase is due to a supply liquidity crisis, where buyers compete for a limited pool of spot supply.
The copper market is facing several pressures, including continued U.S. stockpiling, restocking demand, disruptions to refined copper supply, and a tight global supply-demand balance.
Ghali warns that if current trends continue, copper inventories held by the United States and major Asian consumer markets could account for 71% of total global supply by year-end.
