Copper Rises as Inventories Fall Amid Uncertain Oil Markets
Copper prices rose on Tuesday, buoyed by a decline in inventories. The benchmark three-month copper on the London Metal Exchange (LME) increased by 0.60% to $13,953 a metric ton.
The most-traded copper contract on the Shanghai Futures Exchange gained 0.91% to 106,700 yuan ($15,792.90) a ton.
Copper stocks in LME-registered warehouses fell to 244,025 tons as of Friday, down from around 400,000 tons in April.
