Copper Shortages Set Stage for Explosive Share Price Gains
Copper producers are poised for explosive share price increases in the coming years due to a combination of declining supply and rising demand.
The global copper production is expected to decline this year for the first time in a long time, largely due to disruptions caused by extreme weather, declining ore grades, and poor management at one of the world's largest copper producers, Codelco.
This shortage will be compounded by increasing demand from areas such as electrification, power grids, defence, and AI data centres. Jack Hoogland notes that 'copper stocks are still very cheap' despite this situation.
