Copper Soars to $6.75 as Supply Concerns Weigh in
Copper prices have been on the rise, reaching around $6.75 per pound on Tuesday, up 0.92 percent from the previous session.
This move typically feeds through to MCX copper pricing after rupee conversion.
The increase is being driven by supply concerns, including a potential decline in global mined output this year due to lower ore grades and disruptions at major mines in Indonesia and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Despite this, demand from power grids, AI data centers, and defense remains strong.
