Copper stocks are gaining attention due to record high prices and BT's plan to strip out old copper lines. This mix of commodity exposure, electrification, and AI datacentre demand is reshaping parts of the UK market.

Three UK stocks linked to this news are Anglo American (LSE:AAL), Central Asia Metals (AIM:CAML), and Antofagasta (LSE:ANTO).

Anglo American, a global mining group, gives direct exposure to copper, alongside premium iron ore and other commodities. Copper is a major pillar of the business, with revenue generated at about $9.4b.

Central Asia Metals, a London headquartered base metals producer, fits squarely into the copper and electrification story through its meaningful copper output alongside zinc, lead, and silver. The company's market cap is about £303 million.

Antofagasta, one of the purest copper plays in the FTSE, puts it right in the slipstream of rising demand from electrification, AI datacentres, and grid upgrades.
